The annual meeting of the U.S.-China Foundation for International Exchanges was held on July 9, 2005 at San Francisco.   Mr. Zhang Jianguo, Chairman of the Boardl presided at the meeting.

Proposed by Chairman of the board, the following 4 persons were elected as the new board member of the foundation:

1. R. Barry McComic. Mr. Barry McComic is Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of McComic Consolidated, Inc. and Trans West Housing, Inc. In addition, he is an attorney and a member of the bar in

   
      New York, California and Tennessee. Mr. McComic has

      extensive experience in business and management that also      
      includes his involvement in non-profit organizations. He is the PresidentEmeritus & Member of the Board of University of California at San Diego Foundation and Board member of numerous non-profit organizations such as San Diego Dialogue. He actively supports the professional exchanges between US and China and is the main sponsor of UCSD-CAIEP exchange program.
             
     

2. Jinfa Wan. Mr. Jinfa Wan graduated and received his Bachelor’s degree in 1995 from Beijing Aeronautic University and received his Master’s degree in 2004 from Harbin Engineering University. Mr. Wan worked as Division Chief in 1982 in China Aeronautical Co., Deputy Director in 1997 in SAFEA and China International Talent Exchange Foundation. Mr. Wan has the title of Senior Accountant with extensive experience in finance and project management of international exchanges.

3. Qiming Peng. Mr. Qiming Peng graduated from Middle and South China Finance University. He worked in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, SAFAE and China International Talent Exchange

Deputy Director of Administrative Office of SAFEA.

4. Haoqing Xu. Mr. Haoqing Xu graduated and received his Bachelor’s degree of Law in 1991 and Master’s degree in 1998 from China People’s University. From 1991 he has been working in SAFEA, CAIEP as project manager, deputy chief, Assistant to the Director and Deputy Director of CAIEP office. Mr. Xu gained wide experience in project management of international exchanges.
